About the Job:

We are seeking a Membership Acquisition Officer to join our team at the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology. As a Membership Acquisition Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Membership Committee and ensuring that our membership services meet the needs of our members.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with the Institute's rules and regulations, providing administrative support to the Membership Committee, and managing applications for membership and professional registration. You will also be responsible for responding to member enquiries by telephone and email, processing payments for applications and renewals, and liaising with external bodies such as the Engineering Council and Science Council.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with members, industry partners, and other stakeholders. You will also need to be highly organized and able to work independently and as part of a team.

The salary for this position is £37,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who has previous experience in a membership body or similar environment. You will need to have strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. You will also need to be IT proficient and comfortable using CRM systems.

About the Working Hours:

This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week. You will be required to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our members.
