Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Control Systems Designer to join our team. This role will involve designing and implementing control solutions for world-class automated material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement control solutions for world-class automated material handling systems.
  2. Develop and maintain PLC software and/or visualization systems.
  3. Test and commission control systems on site.
  4. Interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
  5. Deliver controls engineering activities related to project design and implementation.
  6. Ensure systems designed and supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
  7. Produce all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.
  8. Maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers through the provision of a high-quality service.
  9. Promote personal and business continuous improvement and development of processes to achieve improved time, cost, and quality of project delivery.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering. Experience in designing controls systems in Siemens S7 or TIA Portal is desirable, as well as extensive proven hands-on experience working within an industrial automation environment.

A full UK Driving Licence is also required due to the requirement for travel up to 60% of the time to customer sites both in the UK and across EMEA.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is ££62,000 - £78,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
