Job Title: Assistant Cost Analyst

Barratt Developments plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Cost Analyst to join our Commercial team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering best quality homes at the best possible cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare cost plans for land purchase exercises and reappraisal of development opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of estimating work to support business unit output.
  • Provide information for land purchase exercises and identify specific scheme abnormals.
  • Liaise with departments to achieve a viable final cost position.
  • Prepare Group viabilities for all acquisitions.
  • Calculate prime costs on developments within the business.
  • Provide detailed pre-start appraisals and track movements through to site commencement.
  • Assist Senior Estimator in maintaining library costs and update on a regular basis.
  • Monitor, reconcile, and recharge shared cost items.
  • Be aware of new materials and methods of construction to assist the business in maintaining or increasing its targets.
Requirements:
  • Industry-related business qualification.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Full understanding of current market conditions and rates.
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills and working knowledge of computer systems within the commercial environment.
  • Articulate, clear, and credible communication skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative and build effective working relationships.
  • Wide experience in the discipline within the house building industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC, and Health and Safety requirements.
