Senior Device Physics Team Lead

We are seeking a seasoned expert in material science and device physics to lead our new Device Physics team within the R&D group. As Senior Manager Device Physics, you will be responsible for overseeing material science and device physics programs, working closely with teams across R&D, Technology, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and coordinate advanced characterization programs for semiconductor materials and devices using techniques like X-ray diffractometers, spectrometers, profilometers, X-ray diffraction, UV-Vis-NIR absorption/transmission/reflection, photoluminescence, surface roughness, etc.
- Rapidly respond to characterization, modelling, and analysis needs within a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Train and guide team members on advanced characterization methods and instruments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process experts, electrical/mechanical/software engineers, external parties, and equipment vendors.
- Present findings and analysis to technical staff.
- Demonstrate teamwork, strong work ethic, and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Leverage expertise in semiconductor physics, materials science, and hands-on R&D experience, particularly in thin film technologies.
- Degree or post-graduate in solid state physics, material science, electronics, or other relevant disciplines; or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor physics, material sciences, device characterization, and modelling.
- Expertise in setting up, maintaining, and coordinating advanced material characterization programs, e.g. X-ray diffractometers, spectrometers, profilometers, XPS, SIMS, FTIR, UV-VIS, etc.
- Experience in DC and AC electrical tests and associated data analysis statistical methods and tools.
- Experience in responding to characterization, modelling, and analysis needs in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal within team and external facing.
- Experience in leading projects interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
