Job Title: Deputy Examinations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Deputy Examinations Manager to join our team at Oxford Brookes University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of casual invigilation staff to deliver examination sessions, assisting the Examinations Manager, and supervising administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of casual invigilation staff to deliver examination sessions
  • Assist the Examinations Manager to ensure examination sessions run smoothly
  • Supervise 3 administrative staff during exam sessions
  • Take specific responsibility for the financial administration for both the Examinations and Timetabling teams
  • Process Invigilator claim forms for Payroll

Requirements:

  • Experience managing or supervising large examinations at a school/college or University
  • Substantial experience working in administration (ideally in an educational institution)
  • Experience in management or supervision of staff
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team, but also able and willing to work on own initiative and learn new skills

Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent, full-time post, but consideration will be given for a 0.8FTE appointment. The role will require onsite working for exam sessions, and the lead up to exams where required. The rest of the year, the role would be agile working, with 2 days per week at home, 3 days per week on campus.
