Premises Assistant Job Description
The role of a Premises Assistant is to support the Premises Manager in maintaining the school premises to an exceptionally high standard. This involves ensuring that the school is clean, safe, and well-maintained, and that all facilities are available for use by students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving deliveries and ensuring that they are stored safely and securely
- Setting up tables and chairs for lunches, events, and assemblies
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of school facilities
- Providing administrative support to the Premises Manager
- Working collaboratively with other members of the school community to ensure that the school runs smoothly
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Basic IT skills
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
About the School:
The school is a special school for secondary pupils from Years 7 to 11 who have learning and additional needs. The school converted to Academy status on 1st September 2018 and is part of the Multi Academy Trust.
Working Hours:
The role is part-time, with 12 hours per week, and is available for flexible working Monday to Friday during term time only.
