Job Title: KS1 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced KS1 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave position at a special school in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Year 2 class and providing support to students with SEMH and ASD needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a Year 2 class with a focus on SEMH and ASD needs
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with SEMH and ASD
  • Work closely with teaching assistants to provide support to students
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
  • QTS (preferably)
  • Experience working with SEMH and ASD students
  • Positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors
  • Leadership skills to develop teaching assistants
