Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Financial Controller to lead our financial operations at Harrogate Homeless Project.

This role involves managing all aspects of the charity's finances, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to management.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial plans, including budgeting and forecasting.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  3. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
  4. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the finance team.
  5. Communication: Present financial information to trustees and non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial management and leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Xero software experience.
