Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in Nottingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and ambitious individual to take on a leadership role in a busy hotel kitchen.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Head Chef or similar senior culinary role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and develop a smooth operation of the kitchen.
- E nsure HACCP compliance within the kitchen and Food & Beverage outlet.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
- Develop and implement effective menu planning, cost control, and inventory management strategies.
- Lead and motivate a high-performing kitchen team, providing training and development opportunities.
- Work closely with other departments to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring the efficient use of staff, equipment, and supplies.
- Control costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and other departmental targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar senior culinary role.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff.
- Proficient in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
- Creativity in developing new dishes and presenting food.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
