Logistics People, a leading logistics company, is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Drivers to join our team at our Cannock depot.

Our client, a prominent player in the HGV industry, offers a fleet of modern vehicles, ensuring our drivers have access to the latest technology and a comfortable working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate an articulated tipper truck, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ensure the truck is loaded and unloaded correctly, balancing the load as required, and securing materials properly.
  • Transport a variety of bulk materials, such as aggregates, sand, and gravel, to meet customer demands.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • 12 months of HGV Class 2 driving experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work ad-hoc shifts, including temporary assignments.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £15.12.
