About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism (ASD) in our welcoming reception class in Barnet, London. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with KS1 and KS2 students, particularly those with ASD, to ensure they receive the tailored support they need to thrive.

About the School:

Our vibrant one-form entry primary school caters to children aged 4 to 11 years and prides itself on offering a broad and balanced curriculum. The school has extensive grounds with an astro turf, pond area, and two playgrounds, creating endless opportunities for outdoor learning and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Autism (ASD) in our reception class
  • Work closely with KS1 and KS2 students, particularly those with ASD
  • Adapt activities to meet the needs of students with ASD
  • Foster social and emotional development in students with ASD
  • Encourage independence in students with ASD
