We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Oncologist to join our team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a Consultant Medical Oncologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our oncology services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert medical care to patients with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of their condition.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
- Contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies, and participate in clinical trials and research studies.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Participate in audit and quality improvement activities to ensure that our services are safe, effective, and patient-centered.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and qualities:
- Full GMC registration and possession of MRCP or equivalent qualification in medical oncology.
- Experience of conducting clinical audit and using evidence-based medicine to inform decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex information to patients, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest advances in medical oncology.
