Health and Safety Advisor

Duration: 12 Month Contract
We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our client's Decommissioning team on a 12-month contract. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting health and safety operations for one of our client's major decommissioning projects, while also providing valuable support to other key projects as needed.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy that ensures legislative compliance and effectively communicates initiatives in a team-oriented manner.
- Oversee the application of company health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring they align with legislation, guidance, and industry best practices.
- Monitor compliance and maintain the health and safety management system's processes and procedures, supporting daily operations.
- Assess when intervention or escalation is necessary, particularly in regulatory areas of concern.
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, gather essential information, and identify risks and impacts to drive corrective actions and improvements.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility by promoting effective safety behaviours and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a heavy industrial sector, energy, oil and gas, or a related industry.
- Construction knowledge and experience overseeing decommissioning work.
- Offshore experience is desirable.
- NEBOSH or equivalent Certificate and relevant membership of IOSH (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Desirable).
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues at all levels.
