Remedy Recruitment Group is looking for a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team at one of our partner Secondary SEN schools. This exciting opportunity involves supporting a Deaf pupil with SEMH, using Makaton training to aid their learning and development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience working with children with Autism and SEMH (Autism Awareness training is desirable)
  • Advanced Makaton skills
  • A strong background in working within schools, including experience with support plans and behaviour plans
  • Foundational BSL skills
  • Previous experience working with Deaf pupils
  • A supportive, encouraging, and innovative approach to teaching
