Job Title: Data Centre Mechanical Shift Engineer

PRS LTD is seeking a skilled Data Centre Mechanical Shift Engineer to join their team in Slough. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical and electrical systems of the data centre, ensuring 100% uptime and environmental conditions are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Monitor the Data Centre environments for changes in condition and identify the cause, providing reports to the Team and Customer on the cause and effect.
  • Assist in ensuring 100% uptime of Customer Data Centres.
  • Support contractor/engineer activities such as isolations, connections, work permits, etc.
  • Maintain systems and assets in a data-driven environment, using new digital tools and platforms.
Requirements:
  • Trade trained with ideally 3 years' experience in building services.
  • City & Guilds Mechanical or Plumbing discipline competency, Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Willing to be Authorised as Mechanical AP on site.
  • Experience in critical sites (Data Centre or Banking Sites).
