Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Manager to join our team at Path Recruitment. As a Depot Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our depot, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers, drivers, and yard operatives to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that the depot runs smoothly.
  • Monitor departmental workloads and deal with any staff issues that may arise, ensuring that the depot remains a happy and motivated environment.
  • Responsible for profit and loss as well as all health and safety and other safety at work requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of work while ensuring that the depot operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that contribution targets for the depot are achieved, and that the depot remains a profitable and successful business unit.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role within the construction sector, preferably in plant hire, tool hire, trenching and shoring, lifting, non-mechanical, power generation hire, accommodation hire, or other specialist equipment hire.
  • Knowledge of the construction sectors mentioned above, including plant hire, tool hire, and specialist equipment hire.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of engineers, drivers, and yard operatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
