Job Title: Research Data Management Specialist

HAWK Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst is seeking a highly skilled Research Data Management Specialist to join our Research and Transfer staff department at the Göttingen site.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional to support the development and implementation of research data management services. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to strengthen RDM skills, identify and make available subject-specific methods and standards, and provide technical services for the storage, publication, organization, and documentation of digital research data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain web services, including websites, wikis, and online learning tools
  • Provide technical support and training on tools and services
  • Coordinate and implement training courses, workshops, and community-building events for partner universities
  • Network with universities in Lower Saxony and throughout Germany
  • Prepare handouts and collect best practices
Requirements:
  • Completed scientific university degree (Master's/Diploma) or comparable qualification in a data-related field
  • Experience with research data management and handling associated tools
  • Language skills in German and English that enable fluent oral and written communication
  • Confident handling of MS Office programs
  • Knowledge of FDM and data management an advantage
