Week 1: Monday - Friday 07:00 to 17:00
Week 2: Monday - Friday 07:00 to 17:00 (Saturday 07:30 to 12:00)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver with HIAB to join our team at Simon Acres Group. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for safely transporting merchandise and ensuring the efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lift and Load: Safely lift and load materials and vehicles, adhering to safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Load Security: Ensure all loads are secure, stable, and not hazardous.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe, performing checks as per standard company procedures.
- Reporting: Report any concerns about vehicle safety or defects to the Branch Manager.
- Health and Safety: Observe strict adherence to company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Delivery Paperwork: Accurately complete delivery paperwork.
- Sales Development: Proactively identify new business leads and opportunities.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers in the yard or stores areas.
- Traffic Monitoring: Monitor yard traffic to prevent collisions or injuries.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other reasonable requests from the Branch or Assistant Manager.
Requirements:
- Valid Driving Licence: Hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- Full Clean Licence: Possess a full clean UK driving licence.
- Experience: Have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- CPC and Tachograph Card: Hold a CPC and Tachograph Card.
- HIAB Experience: Have experience driving HGV2 with HIAB.
- Multi-Drop Deliveries: Preferably have experience in multi-drop deliveries.
- Safety Procedures: Have a strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance regulations.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills and a customer service focus.
- Independence: Be able to work independently and efficiently.
