Key Responsibilities:
  • Lift and load materials, adhering to safe lifting and handling procedures.
  • Ensure all loads are secure, stable, and not hazardous.
  • Perform regular vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
  • Report any safety concerns or defects to your Branch Manager.
  • Adhere to company health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Accurately complete delivery paperwork.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and new business leads.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assistance.
  • Monitor yard traffic to prevent collisions or injuries.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
  • Full Clean UK licence.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • CPC and Tachograph Card.
  • Experience in driving HGV2 with HIAB.
  • Multi-drop delivery experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.
