About the Role

The Design Authority (DA) is responsible for developing the nuclear safety case and maintaining its integrity throughout the full lifecycle of the nuclear power plant. As an experienced Safety Case Engineer working in a new build Design Authority, you will play an important role in the development and maintenance of the safety case.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in resolving challenging issues to support the construction, commissioning and the safe operation of the Nuclear Power Plant.
  • Develop and maintain the safety case, including the main Safety Report and safety justifications to support modifications.
  • Engage with a variety of disciplines within the wider organisation, including Nuclear Analysis, Pressurised Water Reactor Technology, Construction, Commissioning and Operations.

Requirements

  • A motivated, self-starting, dynamic individual who is able to work with multiple disciplines and organisational levels.
  • The ability to understand a broad range of technical analysis and identify and lead pragmatic solutions.
  • Excellent organisation skills, who can work autonomously and work well in teams.
