Financial Assistant

An Accounts Assistant is needed for an owner-managed entrepreneurial business based in west Hull. This position can either be full time (40 hours per week) or part time (30 hours over 5 days), depending on preference and can be flexible.
The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team, being the sole person responsible for the accounts in the business with some external support also provided by accountants.
Key Responsibilities:- To assist in managing the company's accounts and produce an accurate and up-to-date picture of the company's progress against its stated financial goals and targets.
- To assist in preparation of annual reports of accounts to the company's accountants, as well as submit all quarterly VAT Returns to HMRC.
- To manage the company's payroll and pensions via the outsourced payroll bureau and pension advisors respectively.
- To continually improve all aspects of the company's finances, funding, and financial administration and provide information as required.
- Communicating with all levels within the organisation and presenting financial information to non-finance members of staff.
The salary for this position is approximately £28,000 per annum for full-time employment, which will be pro rata accordingly for part-time hours.
