Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

Role Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Regional Commercial team as a Quantity Surveyor Lead. You will be responsible for managing commercial activities, including cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting. Your expertise will help drive business growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.



  • Lead the commercial team in managing build costs, cash flows, and financial information.
  • Develop and implement effective cost control strategies to minimize cost overruns.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting and value engineering.
  • Mentor and guide the Assistant QS to ensure they understand Group policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to procure subcontract trades and ensure best value.
  • Analyze and advise on cost/budget performance to inform business decisions.

Essential Skills:

To excel in this role, you will need:



  • A relevant qualification or extensive experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Excellent finance and commercial awareness, technical knowledge, and leadership skills.
  • A good understanding of construction methods, cost implications, and financial management systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others to respect commercial budgets and policies.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to travel to sites as required.
