As a Junior Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for various financial operations, including office and client bank reconciliations, client receipts and electronic payment preparation, and banking of cheques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform office and client bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Prepare and process client receipts and electronic payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Bank cheques and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Process and review invoices, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Assist with working capital management, including write-offs, disbursements, and credit note requests.
  • Process supplier invoices and payments, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Process expense claims and payments, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Respond to finance-related queries and provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with report preparation and distribution, including costs and residual balances.
  • Ensure that disbursements are processed efficiently, including Companies House, Land registry, and TM property searches.

Requirements

  • Prior junior level experience in a financial or professional services environment, preferably in a law firm or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Evidence of interest in and commitment to the success of the firm.
  • Understanding of and commitment to our values.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Numeracy, accuracy, and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confident individual with a proactive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings.
