We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Assistant to join our team at AD Finance, a dynamic and growing business based in Birmingham. As an experienced Accounts Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Chief Financial Officer and gain invaluable experience and training in a fast-paced and expanding business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including the Sales and Purchase Ledger.
  • Preparing and processing weekly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Conducting thorough bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Preparing and posting journals, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Performing additional ad hoc tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a finance or accounting environment.
  • Studying towards or holding a recognized accounting qualification, such as AAT.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong telephone manner.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively, with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of VAT returns and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • A proactive and positive approach to work, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and established business, with a competitive salary up to £25,000 - £26,000 per annum, and the opportunity to grow and develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
