About the Role

The Fulfilment Manager will be responsible for leading the physical operations of the company's retail and international warehouses, ensuring timely stock availability and efficient demand fulfillment. This role will involve managing a team of 4 Warehouse Supervisors, overseeing a combined warehouse space of over 100,000 square feet, and coordinating with various stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall flow of stock through both retail and international warehouses, ensuring seamless inventory management and timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Lead the team of Warehouse Supervisors, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices to leverage synergies across the entire warehouse operation, eliminating silo working and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Manage headcount and resource allocation, ensuring the right personnel are in place to meet business needs and drive operational excellence.
  • Monitor and control key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure the highest standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site efficiency, productivity, and customer service, leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and AEO regulations, as well as customs bond conditions, through effective management of physical operations.
  • Manage operational costs within agreed budgets, taking ownership of expenditure and driving cost-saving initiatives.
  • Present outbound shipments in accordance with customer specifications, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments as required to achieve business objectives and drive operational excellence.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a DC department manager role, with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and process improvements.
  • Extensive experience in a retail DC environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience working with both UK and international customers, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams, with a focus on talent development and succession planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making.
