Electronics Hardware Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join our product development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong academic background in Engineering or Physics to develop their skills in electronics hardware design and implementation.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality electronic hardware solutions. This will involve working closely with the development team to implement and deliver hardware solutions that meet the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Development of mechanical designs and system integration
- Research and monitoring of developments in relevant technology to maintain and enhance our leading-edge capability
In addition, the role will include mentoring junior engineering staff and providing advice and support to senior technical specialists as needed.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong academic background in Engineering or Physics, typically with a 2:1 or 1st class degree. You should also have a proven record of set-to-work and verification of complex hardware, sometimes under demanding project timescales.
- Understanding of the principles of PCB circuit design and layout
- Understanding of the principles of mechanical design
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
This role offers a very competitive salary of £65000 per annum, plus benefits including pension, life assurance, and 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays). We also offer a commitment to training, development, and career progression.
Security ClearancePlease note that this role requires UK defence security clearance to SC level as a minimum.
