About the Nursery Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to join our team at Tops Day Nurseries. As a Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, educational, and fun environment for our children. You will supervise children, ensure their safety, and organize activities such as games, crafts, and educational tasks.
About the Nursery
Our nursery is a purpose-built facility that is Ofsted registered for up to 104 children, from 3 months to five years. We are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm for 50 weeks of the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the nursery setting effectively, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
- Communicate excellently with children, staff members, and parents, building strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.
- Develop and implement educational activities that promote learning and development in a fun and engaging way.
- Maintain a positive and secure environment, ensuring children feel happy and valued.
- Conduct interviews for potential applicants and develop and maintain the nursery budget.
- Arrange marketing materials and monitor the condition of the facility and equipment, organizing maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Update parents and carers about their child's progress and behaviour, and answer enquiries about enrolment, payments, and practices.
- Develop and implement an age-appropriate program of annual events and activities, and prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required.
- A solid knowledge of the EYFS and a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
