We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse to join our team as a Lung Health Check Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our innovative Targeted Lung Health Check service, which aims to identify asymptomatic individuals and provide early diagnosis of lung cancer and other lung diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing lung health checks, including respiratory assessments and smoking cessation advice.
- Assess patients against set risk criteria and refer high-risk patients for low-dose CT scans.
- Provide health promotion and education to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively with the wider TLHC team to ensure the effective delivery of the service.
- Support the Team Lead with clinical administration duties and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the programme.
- Registered Nurse with current registration and a valid NMC PIN.
- Experience in respiratory nursing and lung health checks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health promotion and education principles.
