Physiotherapist Functional Assessor Role

Maximus is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to conduct assessments and produce reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions determine a person's eligibility for benefits.

About the Role

As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor, you will work with customers who have complex health conditions, including chronic pain disorders and neurological, physical, and mental health conditions. You will use your clinical knowledge and assessment skills to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
  • Produce reports to help the DWP determine a person's eligibility for benefits
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision
Requirements
  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of the NHS
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce reports
