About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Consultant to join our Community Paediatrics team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children and families in the community, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the community paediatric clinic services, including Child Protection Medical clinics, Neuro-Developmental Clinics, and Special Educational Needs clinics.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients.
  • Provide education and training to junior staff and students.
  • Contribute to the development of the department's research and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice.
  • On the GMC specialist register in Paediatrics or Community Paediatrics or within 6 months of CCT.
  • Experience in Community Child Health, neurodisability, or management of children with disabilities.
  • Child Protection Medical experience during level 3 (or higher) training.
  • Up-to-date Level 3 Safeguarding.
