About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Millstream Lodge, a 5-bed home for children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, as well as those on the autism spectrum.

As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the welfare and care of each child, guiding and developing the team of care workers, and ensuring the home's policies, procedures, and risk assessments are followed.

You will be responsible for staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and training, as well as leading shifts and planning rotas to ensure the smooth operation of the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and nurture children to build their confidence and capability
  • Guide and develop the team of care workers to continually grow and shape their experience and practice
  • Lead shifts and plan rotas to ensure the smooth operation of the home
  • Recruit, induct, supervise, and train staff
  • Ensure the home's policies, procedures, and risk assessments are followed

Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • At least 2 years' experience within residential childcare and working alongside young people
  • 21 years old or above to apply due to industry regulations
  • Valid driving licence
