Havant and South Downs College (HSDC) is seeking a skilled First Line Desktop IT Support Technician to join our IT Support Team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional desktop IT support and excellent customer service to staff and students at our Havant and South Downs campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective desktop IT support to staff and students
  • Maintain and support all College-owned IT systems, working under the supervision of senior IT personnel
  • Deploy and maintain software and hardware products throughout the end-user College IT estate
  • Identify and resolve IT issues, faults, and problems throughout the IT estate
  • Support senior IT personnel in liaising with external commercial entities to resolve IT issues, faults, and problems
Requirements
  • Level 2 qualification in an IT-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Achieved or willing to work towards a relevant IT-related professional qualification
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a customer-facing role
  • Experience of having worked in a customer-facing environment
  • Prioritizing, managing, and scheduling multiple work flows and customer requests
  • Some technical understanding of typical IT administration/support requirements
