About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled iOS Lead Developer to join our team at AJ Bell. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our iOS applications and ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of iOS developers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality iOS applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and QA, to ensure that iOS applications meet business requirements and user needs.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of iOS technologies, including Swift, Objective-C, and SwiftUI.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable iOS applications that meet the needs of our users.
  • Work closely with the Android development team to ensure seamless integration and collaboration between iOS and Android applications.
  • Identify and prioritize technical requirements and ensure that they are met through effective project planning and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of continuous learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest iOS technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure that iOS applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business requirements and user needs, ensuring that iOS applications meet these needs.
Requirements
  • Strong commercial experience in native mobile development, with a focus on iOS.
  • Experience in developing high-performance iOS applications using Swift, Objective-C, and SwiftUI.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS SDK and all of its components.
  • Understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  • Knowledge of the open-source iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
  • Knowledge of Kotlin.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Understanding of iOS design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
