Reader Companion

We are seeking a compassionate and engaging individual to join our team as a Reader Volunteer. As a Reader Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our service users by providing companionship and reading support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting our service users in their homes, reading to them, and engaging in conversation. This role requires a kind, empathetic, and friendly individual who is able to build rapport with our service users.

• Visit service users in their homes and read to them
• Engage in conversation and provide companionship
• Build rapport with service users and understand their needs
• Work collaboratively with our team to provide a high-quality service

To be successful in this role, you will need to be:

• Over 18 years old
• Able to commit to regular visits to our service users
• Comfortable with reading aloud and engaging in conversation
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

As a Reader Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to:
