School Finance Officer Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented School Finance Officer to support the Headteacher in managing the school's finances and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for a professional with strong organizational skills and experience in finance administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll and handle employee records
  • Recruitment administration and completing staffing records
  • Manage the purchase and sales ledger, oversee banking transactions, and monitor contracts and supplier deliveries
  • Coordinate school finance processes such as dinner money collections, trip accounts, and asset inventory maintenance
  • Attend Governor meetings four times a year and provide support for facilities management and school projects
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in finance or administrative roles, ideally in a school or educational setting
  • Strong organizational and financial management abilities, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with accounting and payroll processes
  • A commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children, and the ability to support the school office as needed

The hours for this role are term-time hours.
