Job Title: Chef - Bank

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services in the UK. As a Bank Chef, you will play a vital role in creating nutritious and delicious meals for our residents, while also contributing to the overall success of our kitchen team.

About the Role:

As a Bank Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in creating menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards. You will also be expected to work closely with residents to tailor menus to their preferences and dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and managing kitchen operations
  • Work closely with residents to tailor menus to their preferences and dietary needs
  • Manage kitchen inventory and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards
  • Contribute to the overall success of the kitchen team
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • Good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home
  • Good understanding of HACCP
