Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Bank Chef at Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services in the UK. As a Bank Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus while working closely with residents to tailor the menus to their preferences.

Main Duties
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and creating menus that meet the needs of residents.
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest standards.
  • Help create a warm, efficient and fun environment within the home.
  • Manage stock control and assist in leading and motivating the team.

Person Specification
  • You will need to hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, and have experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
  • A good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food are also required.
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home and a good understanding of HACCP are essential.
