Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary:

GFO-X, a leading financial technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in London. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architecture to support our trading platform
  • Configure and manage network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Implement and manage network security policies and protocols
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues to ensure high uptime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for network infrastructure
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in network engineering

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, including OSPF, BGP, BFD, VRRP, HSRP, RSTP
  • Experience with multicast architecture and protocols, including PIM-SM and IGMP v2
  • Experience with configuration of multi-VRF environments
  • Experience with firewall appliance management, preferably Fortinet
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
  • Experience with managing vendors and proposing new hardware and software solutions
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
  • Previous experience in a financial services or FinTech environment
