Dynamic Team Member: We are looking for a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Tonypandy, specializing in complex head and neck cases. This is a competitive, full-time or part-time opportunity available for 3 months with potential for extension.

About the Role: As a Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with patients who have experienced head and neck cancer or related conditions. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with dysphagia, managing both inpatient and outpatient caseloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist therapy for patients recovering from head and neck cancer treatments, including surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy
  • Manage both inpatient and outpatient caseloads, addressing swallowing and communication difficulties
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
  • Significant experience in head and neck speech and language therapy, particularly in dysphagia management
  • Experience working with patients with head and neck cancer, including pre- and post-treatment rehabilitation
