About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Peer Support Development Worker to join our Living Well Team in Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Peer Support Development Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Complex Emotional Needs (CEN) and delivering effective interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance the psychological care of people with CEN within the Community and Living Well Team.
  • Provide psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
  • Work independently according to a plan agreed by your supervisor and within the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside colleagues from Derbyshire Healthcare and other partner organisations.

Person Specification

  • Essential:
    • Experience of working in the field of patient, public involvement or improvement.
    • Lived experience of mental health services as a recipient of care.
  • Desirable:
    • Practiced as an expert by experience in any setting.
    • Experience of managing and/or leading a team, service or project.
