Education Support Specialist

REESON Education, London's Premier Recruitment Agency, is seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching assistant for a community-based mainstream primary school in Westminster.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with the SENCO, other learning support assistants, and outside agencies/therapists to support children with varying needs across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
This full-time role, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm, term-time only, offers a competitive salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be trained in Makaton, PECs, and Team Teach, and have a strong background in supporting children with SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with SEN in a mainstream primary school setting
- Working closely with the SENCO and other LSAs to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Collaborating with outside agencies and therapists to ensure comprehensive support for children with SEN
Requirements:
- Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other support staff
- Training in Makaton, PECs, and Team Teach
