Cybercrime Intelligence Specialist
The role of Cybercrime Intelligence Specialist at Police Life requires a highly skilled professional to tackle serious and organised crime in the UK. With a strong background in online investigations and research, you will join the National Covert Internet Targeting team (NCIT) to identify and attribute high threat Child Sex Abuse (CSA) offenders operating on the clear and dark web.
Your primary focus will be on developing intelligence to produce target packages, helping us tackle offending more effectively. You will also analyse communications data and cryptocurrency transactions to support attribution. Additionally, you will conduct strategic research into emerging online threats to widen our operational knowledge and stay ahead of criminal activity.
As a key member of the NCIT team, you will have a good understanding of relevant UK legislation and the challenges of this type of work. Experience in a CSA setting and an interest in emerging online technology are desirable. To succeed in this role, you must be driven to constantly change and improve, making effective decisions using your judgement and collaborating with a wide range of people.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive the right training, guidance, and coaching to help you build a successful career with us and the wider Civil Service.
We offer a range of benefits, including generous annual leave, flexible working, a contributory pension, staff bonuses, recognition, volunteering days, childcare vouchers, and other salary sacrifice options. As a Civil Service employee, you will also be entitled to an employee discount scheme.
