Job Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Charge Nurse/SCODP to lead the Recovery and Same Day Admission Unit. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and specialist knowledge to facilitate and manage complex procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and specialist knowledge to ensure high-quality care is delivered in the Recovery and Same Day Admission Unit.
  • Coordinate staff in both areas and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficiency and cost-effective use of resources.
  • Support junior staff and students, ensuring ongoing training and development to maintain high standards of care.
  • Work as part of the theatre senior staff team to ensure a strong, focused, and cohesive management structure within the department.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in theatre recovery and same day admission units. They will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
