About the Role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Charge Nurse/SCODP to lead the Recovery and Same Day Admission Unit. As a key member of the theatre team, you will be responsible for coordinating staff, managing complex procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and specialist knowledge to ensure high-quality care is delivered
  • Coordinate staff in the Recovery and Same Day Admission Unit
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of resources
  • Support junior staff and students, ensuring ongoing training and development
  • Contribute to the development of nursing and service standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Specialist knowledge of theatre recovery and same day admission procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of coordinating staff and managing complex procedures
