We are seeking a skilled Controls System Software Engineer to join our team at Belcan Workforce Solutions in Chesterfield, UK.

This is a 6-month contract position (Inside IR35) that requires expertise in system specification, design, development, and testing.

The successful candidate will work as part of a project team to deliver agreed modules within a project, including PLC, SCADA, testing, networking, documentation, and hardware design.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver software engineering services for the development of controls systems
  • Work closely with senior/lead engineers and project managers to ensure technical and quality requirements are met
  • Ensure adherence to company quality processes and procedures, identifying opportunities and variations, and supporting risk and issue management

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To be considered for this role, you must have experience in system specification through design, development, and testing.

Specifically, we require hands-on experience with Siemens S7 PLCs and WinCC SCADA systems.

A good appreciation of control panels, electrical installation, and instrumentation solutions is also essential.

  • Educational Requirements:
  • Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Systems, or relevant discipline
  • Incorporated Engineer or working towards professional registration

Estimate Salary Range: £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
