Marie Curie UK is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients with terminal illnesses, while also offering emotional support to their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized care and support to patients in their own homes, focusing on their medical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs.
- Monitor symptoms, assist with medications, and maintain accurate records of patient care.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in palliative care.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience in End-of-Life Care.
- Current valid driving license and use of a car insured for business use.
- Relevant experience in Palliative Care is desirable.
- Emotional strength and ability to work independently, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work nights and flexible hours, with access to a computer and internet for mandatory training.
