Job Summary

Mosaic Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and monitoring compliance activities, ensuring all regulatory and corporate requirements are fulfilled, documented, and communicated in a professional and supportive manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all necessary requirements to retain the Branch ISO 14001 accreditation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Units (BUs) and the Business Support Team (BST) to enhance compliance awareness and processes, promoting a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
  • Oversee Branch environmental audits, ensuring they meet the standard requirements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Represent the company at European environmental meetings, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in environmental sustainability.
  • Support MELCO Environmental Audits, providing expertise and guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Report Battery and WEEE data on a quarterly basis, as a regulatory compliance obligation, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support and conduct nationwide Fixed Asset audits, ensuring accurate inventory and compliance with company policies.
  • Administrate various Compliance training activities, including e-Learning programs, to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Carry out general administrative duties, including uploading and maintaining policies and procedures on the Branch intranet.

Requirements

  • Experience working with ISO 14001 in a similar role, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Competent and confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Fast learner, able to adapt to new situations and priorities.
  • Ability to use own initiative, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of working to deadlines and motivating/monitoring others, with a strong focus on results and delivery.
  • Experience of working in an office environment, with a strong understanding of business operations and processes.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with a strong foundation in environmental sustainability and compliance.
