We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Special Education Assistant. As a Special Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEN to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, including ASC, ADHD, medical needs, and behaviour issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN to complete tasks and activities, promoting independence and self-confidence
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing IEPs, ensuring that pupils receive the best possible support
  • Use behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and respectful classroom environment
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEN, particularly in EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
