Job Summary:

Metalis Engineering Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Assembly Operative to join their team at a precision manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of assembled products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough checks of parts prior to assembly to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Assemble and build sub-assemblies and final products in accordance with specifications.
  • Assist in the creation of job-specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Pack and prepare equipment for transportation, ensuring quality control procedures are followed.
  • Notify line managers of stock shortages to prevent production disruptions.
  • Maintain and update quality work procedures.
  • Provide feedback on quality issues to management.
  • Complete daily time sheets and submit weekly reports.

Requirements:

  • Essential experience in assembly and production environments.
  • Good knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems is advantageous.
  • Hold a recognized qualification, such as a minimum NVQ2, and have completed a full mechanical apprenticeship.
  • Understanding of quality procedures and ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience with cranes is advantageous.

Working Hours and Salary:

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm

Friday: 7:30am - 1:00pm

Salary: £15.00 per hour
