About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Food Commercial team, specifically within the Food for Later category. This is a fixed-term 12-month opportunity that will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable market share growth and cash profit through competitive and distinctive customer offers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning, delivering, and optimising the buying and selling strategy for the Food for Later category, with a focus on quality and value for customers.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to review product ranges, identify opportunities for improvement, new product development, and cost savings.
  • Making key decisions in both buying and selling strategies, influencing stakeholders, and using financial, market, and customer data to drive a market-leading product range.
  • Optimising the supply base, managing supplier relationships, and leading cross-functional projects to deliver successful outcomes.
What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record in negotiating with suppliers and optimising product ranges to deliver quality and value to customers.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and effective communication to develop and execute customer-focused category plans aligned with the company's strategy.
  • Ability to analyse financial, market, and customer data to identify opportunities for improvement, new product development, and cost savings.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £55,000 per annum, plus benefits including:
